I Got Accepted Into the Amazon Influencer Program – Now What?
So, you just got approved for the Amazon Influencer Program—congrats! 🎉 But now comes the big question: “What do I do next? How do I actually start earning commissions with product reviews?”
Don’t worry—you’re in the right place. In this post, I’ll walk you step-by-step through exactly what to do (and what not to do) so you can hit your first $100 in commissions faster than I did.
Step 1: Start Uploading Product Review Videos Immediately
The first thing you should do after approval is begin posting product review videos. Don’t overthink it—start with items you already own around your house.
Here’s a simple strategy to follow:
Focus on high-ticket, high-commission products first (furniture, outdoor tools, mattresses, electronics).
Work room by room through your house until everything is reviewed.
Aim to review items priced over $50 for bigger commissions.
Step 2: Get to 100 Videos as Fast as Possible
Volume matters. Uploading more videos not only helps you improve your skills on camera, but it also increases your chances of earning commissions. My rule: push to 100 videos quickly.
You’ll get better at presenting.
More videos = more exposure.
By default, more content leads to more commissions.
Step 3: Use Data to Pick the Right Products
Not every listing is worth your time. Some products barely sell, while others have massive demand. That’s why I recommend using ReviewPro for Amazon Influencers.
👉 With the ReviewPro Extension, you can see which products have high demand + low competition—so you tag the right listings and increase your commissions dramatically.
💡 Pro Tip: Don’t waste hours editing videos. Instead, focus on creating more content consistently. The more you upload, the faster you’ll grow.
Step 4: Avoid These Common Mistakes
❌ Don’t obsess over daily earnings—focus on output.
❌ Don’t waste time deciding vertical vs. horizontal. Just film and upload.
❌ Don’t tag the wrong product listings. Use data tools to find the best ones.
If you just got approved for the Amazon influencer program and now you're asking yourself, okay, well what now? What do I do next? How do I start earning commissions? I'm confused what is happening, and then this video is for you because I wanna outline step by step what you should do and should not do to earn your first $100 in commissions with your product review.
Videos, and truthfully, it's a lot easier than you think. In the last two months, I crossed over $4,500 in commissions with my review videos, and this was during a time when I went beach camp with my family for a week, and then I went to Mexico for a week and I was planning for my wedding and I got married and I was still able to earn these commissions on autopilot from my review videos.
And so I'm just here to tell you. If I could do it, so can you. Anyone can do this, but you need to know what to do and what not to do, so you can avoid the mistakes I made. And so these suggestions are actually just me talking to my younger self, what I wish I knew when I first started off in the program, to be able to earn $100 a lot faster than what it actually took me.
Real quick. My name is Martin Keller. This is brand new channel if you like these kinds of videos and if you have any questions on what I talk about. Comment down below and I will answer. And also, if you can hit the like button and subscribe, it'll mean a ton to me. And if one person subscribes to my channel from this video, I will continue to post about how to help you make more money on Amazon every week.
Let's dive in. So you just got approved into the Amazon influencer program, you finally passed. That hurdle and you have your storefront. Now this video is not gonna be about setting up your storefront or customizing it. I have a separate video where I go into that in detail. I will leave Linked up above, but you have your storefront and you either have zero videos on there or a little amount.
The first thing you need to start doing right away is start posting product review videos, and you're probably thinking, okay, well what do I shot off with? There's so much stuff in my house. There's a few ways you can go about this. What I wish I did was starting off with products that were in hiring commission, and typically these are products that have a higher price point and a higher just commission structure for the product category.
It's sometimes hard to just pinpoint what kind of products those are. I have Review Pro and it will show you. The commission structure, it'll show you the price point, but those higher priced items will earn you a higher commission per sale rather than something that's smaller. For example, I'm gonna earn a lot more by reviewing this dash cam than this wallet, and typically higher commission products are high in price point.
And if you think about it, higher price point products are bigger products 'cause they cost more to ship. And so that's reflected in the price. What I'm getting at is start reviewing furniture items, bed frames, mattresses. Um, tools, outdoor products, uh, chairs, um, tables, stuff like that. Like stuff that's higher price point.
Try to shoot for over $50 and try to stay away from smaller price items. Now a different strategy to look at this is just focus on doing one room at a time. So look at your house and just stay in one room. Until you review everything inside of that room and then you're allowed to go to the next room.
Okay? Just one product review video at a time. Real quick, if you wanna learn more on how to get approved into the influencer program or how to increase your commissions month after month, I have a free guide the Amazon Influencer Cheat Code that'll link down below in the video description. It'll tell you everything you need to know about the Influencer program, and think of it as my free gift to you for watching this.
Video. Also, inside the guide is a link to my Facebook group, which you can join for free or you can ask questions, get more help, and learn the best practices for the influencer program. Like I said, this guide is in the video description. Make sure to grab your free copy. Now you're probably asking yourself, okay, well, does that mean I should review everything in my house?
A hundred percent, yes. You want to review everything because I promise you, you'll start to earn commissions for products that you would never have imagined. But it happens all the time. It happens to me every day. Some of the products that I earned consistent commissions from are always the ones that I never expected, and so you wanna review everything, but just start off with products that can earn you the most bang for your buck immediately, and then followed by everything else.
That's just my suggestion, which leads me into my next point. Get to 100 product review videos as soon as you possibly can. I don't care if you need to just do one a day or five a day, but just getting to 100 will do so much for you. First, you're gonna get better at reviewing products. Alright? You're gonna get a lot more comfortable talking on a camera.
It's gonna flow a lot more faster. You're just gonna get naturally better. And so it'll take a lot less time to get to 100. So you just have to push through the learning curve. So just by doing it more often, you're gonna get better and convert more videos for commissions. Next is just by doing more, you'll by default earn more commissions.
Okay? Like pretty simple, pretty self-explanatory, but still there's this mental barrier that we have. Of not just doing more volume, but just by doing sheer more volume, you're gonna start earning more. And lastly, if possible, find products that have a lot of demand, meaning a lot of people are buying it higher revenue.
Loan competition, meaning there's hardly any review videos for that product. One tool, and the only tool that I use is Review Pro, which will show you the number of influencer videos on that product. It'll show you the revenue. That way when you're uploading your videos, you're not tagging products that no one's buying, because sometimes on Amazon there's many different sellers or many different listings selling the same thing.
So we wanna focus. I'm tagging the product that has the highest demand, lowest competition. You'll be able to see this with the PRO score. If you want a 30 day free trial of Review Pro, I have a link down below in the video description where you can access it. I highly recommend just downloading it, using it.
It'll increase your commissions dramatically overnight. Just by tagging the right product and seeing which ones have high demand and low competition. Now, as important, I wanna talk about what you should not do or avoid doing. The first thing is avoid spending a ton of time editing your videos.
Personally, I've never used any of the editing apps that you can use. Edit your videos. Because what I do is if I fumble or just kind of mess up, I just quickly redo that video and start from scratch. Because what I've learned is if I redo the video once or twice or second, or two or three, four times, then by the fifth time I can just go all in one set.
Without having to redo it or edit it. And typically that is better practice for future review videos being more flawless and not spending a ton of time editing it. So I just would advise to not focus on that because I feel like it's a time sucker, like it's a little bit of a time waster when if you just improve your skillset of reviewing products.
That alone will pay more dividends back to you. Okay, so that's probably the first thing. Next thing is don't fixate on your earnings. Don't wake up every morning fixated on what you've earned, because that will drive you nuts. Honestly, what I would focus on is the rule of 100 or the rule of 500. Focus on just producing and pumping out more content, and your earnings by default will increase.
It'll give you a lot more of a relief by focusing on what you can control. Alright? That would be the biggest thing to help your mindset on this journey. And next is a little bit more tactically, is making sure that you know how to tag and upload videos correctly. A lot of times you're gonna upload more review videos and tagging products that.
Are probably the same product, but it is a flat listing, meaning there's no one actually buying that product. And by default you could actually tag a different listing that's the same product and there's a lot more demand or um, you know, traction to that listing. Truthfully, I just use Review Pro. Which helps me see what products have high demand, meaning it's getting purchased a lot, but low competition, meaning there's low saturation with other influencer videos on that product listing.
And so if you can really nail the skillset of uploading videos correctly and tagging the best products to your product review videos, then you're gonna earn a lot more commission just by doing that. Right, right. So those are the things that I would avoid doing is not tagging the right product. Fixating on your earnings and also spending too much time editing it.
Last thing is do not worry about if it's a horizontal or a vertical video. That is one of the biggest wasters of your time is thinking and worrying. Should this video be vertical or horizontal, or from my phone or computer? By default, just by you recording a video, regardless of how you record it and uploading it is the best case scenario.
I have never fixated or worried about if it's horizontal or vertical. I just do what's most convenient for me, depending on where I'm at and what I have to record. Okay? So don't waste any time worrying about that. Just start producing content. Anyways, if this video has been helpful for you, I want you to hit the like button, subscribe, calm down below.
